Xiaomi launched its flagship smartphone in october last year, the Mi Note 2, at its 'Curved to Impress' event in Beijing. The smartphone's highlight is the use of both front and back 3D curved glass, which also gives the Mi Note 2 a dual-edge curved display like the the Samsung Galaxy s7 edge, though perhaps not as extreme in scope. The company is calling it a two-sided curved design.
The Xiaomi MI Note 2 is available in three variants: a 4GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage model priced at CNY 2,799 (roughly Rs. 27,600), a 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage model priced at CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs. 32,600), and the Global Edition 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage model priced at CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs. 34,500). The last has support for global LTE bands (with support for up to 37 LTE bands). The smartphone is available in Piano Black and Glacial Silver colour variants, and an aluminium build. Xiaomi is also offering a virtual SIM, indicating MVNO support. The smartphone is currently up for pre-orders in China, and got on sale from 1 November,2016.
The Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based Xiaomi Mi Note 2 sports a 5.7-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) Oled flexible display with a 77.2 percent screen-to-body ratio and a 110 percent NSTC gamut. The Mi Note 2 is powered by a 2.35GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 Performance Edition SoC. It bears a 4070mAh battery and Quick Charge 3.0. It bears a fingerprint sensor on the home button.
